The Pinkie Pie Promise and the Game
Updated 2026-10-28. This page answers: Explain the show’s oath and the pieces of it the Roblox game repeats.
The Pinkie Pie promise is “Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” This oath comes from My Little Pony. The Roblox game description cites that show as its inspiration; the community guide reports the same opening words in the game, but its complete spoken oath is unverified.
Evidence and limits
The episode references are from the MLP wiki pages listed below; this review does not claim a firsthand episode screening. The game's inspiration is in the Roblox description. The cited community guide reports the opening oath words; the game's complete wording is unverified.
The words and the gesture
The show’s full spoken swap is “cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” Pinkie’s version of the gesture, as the wiki records it, is: zip the mouth, lock it, throw away the key, bury the key, build a house on the spot, and live in it. That is dialogue staging, not a nursery rhyme titled “chant.”
“Nopony breaks a Pinkie promise!” is Pinkie’s line in The Last Roundup, season 2 episode 14, aired 21 January 2012. In the game, the catch scene uses “No pony breaks a pinkie promise,” as written up by pinkiepromiseguide.
This page quotes those short lines and links the episode pages. It does not host show stills.
