Privacy Policy
Updated 2026-10-28. This page answers: Name every third party the pages load, the storage each one uses, and how to withdraw the default choice.
This policy matches the scripts on pinkiepromise.xyz as of 28 October 2026. If a script is added or removed, this page changes in the same update. Questions: [email protected].
How this page is maintained
The list below follows the script loaders in the built site and the local-browser network audit dated 28 October 2026. Analytics, replay, and ad tags are created asynchronously. Reject prevents those loaders from running on the reloaded page; Google Fonts remains part of the page styling.
What loads, and why
Google Analytics 4 (GA4), measurement ID G-LCJR91ZBGM, loads on the first screen through www.googletagmanager.com and reports to www.google-analytics.com (regional Google Analytics collection hosts may also be used). Purpose: count visits and see which guide pages are used. Requests include page URLs, device and browser details, and interaction events. It loads by default; Reject prevents the GA4 tag from loading on the reloaded page.
Microsoft Clarity, project z4i33g7166, loads on the first screen from clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms and reports to regional clarity.ms collection hosts. Purpose: heat maps and session replay so the guide can be fixed where readers get stuck. Clarity can record clicks, scrolling, and page content; form inputs are masked by the provider by default. It is loaded by default; choosing Reject stops it on the reloaded page.
Adsterra, publisher 3403020, serves two placements on this site: Native Banner unit 31959062 and Social Bar unit 31959063. Their scripts load from bicea.org on the first screen, and the units can request creatives and measurement from delivery hosts such as static.nresystems.com, cdn.show-sb.com, cdn.show-creative1.com, and cdn.cloudpiko.com. Purpose: display advertising that funds the guide. Adult advertising is switched off in the Adsterra dashboard. The Social Bar is the fixed floating bar at the bottom of the page; it can be hidden with its own Hide ads button. Ads load by default; choosing Reject stops them on the reloaded page.
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com for the stylesheet, fonts.gstatic.com for the files) supplies Outfit and Press Start 2P. Purpose: typography. Google receives the network request and IP address. Fonts load by default and remain enabled after Reject. Google’s policy is https://policies.google.com/privacy.
YouTube (www.youtube-nocookie.com) starts only when a visitor presses a video button, which creates the embed iframe. Purpose: play a cited public video. At that point YouTube’s own cookies and storage apply under https://policies.google.com/privacy. No YouTube iframe is present on first paint.
There is no account system, no newsletter, and no traffic-mesh or other banner SDK on these pages. The only advertising network is Adsterra, declared in ads.txt as adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT.
Cookies, local storage, and retention
The site itself stores two localStorage keys. Neither is a cookie and neither is sent to a server.
- pp_consent_v1 holds JSON with choice (granted or denied) and exp. It records the banner choice for 180 days. An expired or malformed value counts as no choice, so the default-on behaviour applies again.
- pp_socialbar_closed holds 1 after a visitor presses Hide ads on the floating Social Bar. It has no expiry and remains until site storage is cleared. Hiding the bar does not turn off analytics or recording; Reject does that.
- GA4 may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_LCJR91ZBGM. Google documents a default cookie lifetime of two years; browser limits can shorten it. Server-side retention depends on the GA4 property settings and is not verified in this page audit. Provider details: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/ga4/cookie-usage.
- Clarity sets first-party cookies including _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (about one day), and may use additional identifiers for session stitching. Microsoft documents the current list at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/clarity/setup-and-installation/cookie-list.
- Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies or local storage for delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement. Their names and lifetimes are controlled by the network and its partners rather than by this site, so this policy does not invent a fixed list. Adsterra’s policy is https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/.
- The consent keys are the only storage this site writes itself. Deleting pp_consent_v1 or using the footer Cookie settings button lets you make the choice again. Server logs at the host may retain request metadata for a short operational period; they are not joined to any advertising profile by this site.
Default loading, your choice, and legal basis
Analytics, session replay, and advertising load by default on a first visit while the notice offers Accept and Reject. No saved choice is treated as permission for loading, but the banner stays visible until a choice is made. Pressing Reject writes denied for 180 days, removes the running third-party scripts, and reloads without GA4, Clarity or Adsterra. Accept writes granted for 180 days. Returning visits do not extend that expiry. The footer Cookie settings button reopens the banner at any time. Reject does not undo data already sent; Google Fonts remains enabled and a video can still load when you explicitly press Play.
If the browser sends Global Privacy Control, or Do Not Track is 1, the page records denied and does not start the optional third parties. The same applies to an unexpired denied choice.
The default-on notice records a browser preference; it does not obtain permission before the first third-party request. This policy describes the implemented loading behaviour and does not claim that pressing Accept happened on your first visit.
You can object to personalized advertising through the industry pages at https://adssettings.google.com, https://optout.aboutads.info, and https://optout.networkadvertising.org. Adsterra’s own privacy policy and contact route are at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. For Microsoft Clarity, see https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. For Google Analytics, see https://policies.google.com/privacy.
To ask what this site holds, or to request deletion of a choice, email [email protected]. There is no server-side profile of individual readers to export; the choice lives in your browser. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. This site has no separate EU representative.
Changes to this policy appear as a new updated date on this page. The previous version said no ad or replay script was installed; that is no longer true, and the change is recorded here rather than left standing.
