The farm is the teaching stretch. Applejack sets chores, a fire changes the goal from “put it out” to “get out,” and the chickens only move if you approach from behind. Then you leave for the station. Do not walk back to the barn to repeat the old chore.

Order of the chores

When the barn catches fire, use the well and a bucket. The moment Applejack shouts to get clear, the objective switches to leaving. Staying to finish the fire is the wrong goal.

Approach chickens from behind and walk them toward the coop. Chasing from all four sides scatters them. After the animals are in, go to the station for the Friendship Express.

Is there a time limit on the fire?
